Love eggs? Not sure how many are healthy? Here is good news: If you are in good shape, 2 or even 3 eggs a day are perfectly OK. Here are the facts.

Eggs have a lot of good nutrients

An egg hold all the nutrients for the little chick. There are essential vitamins, minerals, and lecithin, which is good for your brain and memory, as well as iodine and valuable protein.

Cholesterol

1 egg has about 400mg cholesterol - that's sounds like a lot. But only half of it is absorbed by the body. Latest studies confirm that giving up eating eggs does not lower your cholesterol level.

Best way: Combine eggs with foods and herbs that may lower cholesterol

The first foods you should think of to combine eggs with, are onions and garlic. Both lower cholesterol. Then put some color to your egg dishes:Turmeric, the powder of a yellow root, lowers cholesterol as well as (bright red) Annatto, the seed of  Achiote, a small tree or shrub that grows in tropical and subtropical regions all over the world. Annatto is commonly used in Latin American and Caribbean cuisines. It has a slightly nutty, sweet and peppery flavor.
