Research suggests following actions: protects skin cells, acts as natural sunscreen, cleanses blood, relieves psoriasis, reduces inflammation, acts as immune-modulator (selectively modulates overactive immune cells), protects brain cells, and increases urination.
Caution: May potentiate the effects of digitalis and/or other digitalis-type prescription heart drugs. Do not use Samambaia in combination with these drugs. Antacids may reduce the absorption of Samambaia.
Suggested use: take ½ teaspoon (1g) by mouth up to 3 times daily - stir into a little bit of food.
