Sweeter Dreams will put you to sleep - Sweeter Dreams plus has an even stronger efficacy, because Valerian is added.
This is another heirloom recipes from Grandma. Try it yourself: Have a cup of "Sweet Dreams" tea 1/2 an hour before you go to bed. Sit down, breath in the herbal scent, and relax.
Here is what research suggests:
Peppermint calms the stomach and the body, Linden Leaf & Flower releases tension, is calming and allowing easy sleep, Lemon Balm has a calming effect on the central nerve system and is a relaxing tonic for anxiety, restlessness, and irritability Chamomile has relaxant actions, Valerian has been used as a sedative and relaxant at least since Roman times. Research suggests that Valerian encourages sleep and improves sleep quality.
Suggested use: 1 tsp per cup. Pour over boiling water and let steep for 3 to 5 minutes.

Note: Do not confuse our "Sweeter Dreams" with "Sweet Dreams" from Bidelow. Their product just contains Chamomile and Peppermint. That will calm you down, but hardly help with sleep!
